Janette Walker
Janette Walker holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Performing Arts (Opera) and was awarded the inaugural Auckland Opera (now New Zealand Opera) Young Artists Scholarship in 1994. In 1995 she emigrated to Sydney and has subsequently undertaken the roles of Angelica, Suor Angelica, Susanna, Le nozze di Figaro, Juliette, Romeo and Juliette, Euridice, Orpheus and Euridice, Micaela, Carmen, Eurydice, Orpheus in the Underworld, Saffi, Zigeunerbaron, Josephine, HMS Pinafore, Belinda, Dido and Aeneas and Yum Yum, The Mikado for various opera companies in New South Wales and the role of The Confidant in Elektra for the Sydney Festival under the baton of Simone Young.

In addition to being a member of the Solid Energy Ensemble of Southern Opera, Janette performed the role of Ines in Southern Opera's production of Il trovatore.
Oratorio and concert performances include Handel's Messiah, Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate, Coronation Mass and Mass in C minor, Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, Vaughan Williams' Serenade to Music, Vivaldi's Gloria and Schumann's Frauenliebe und Leben.
