Bonaventure Allan-Moetaua

Bonaventure completed his bachelor of music in voice performance from the University of Auckland under the teaching of Glenese Blake, Te Oti Rakana and Robert Wiremu. During his time at University, he was a recipient of the Cultural Blues Award 2004-06. He was a member of the New Zealand Youth Choir, touring with them in 2004-07 under the direction of Dr Karen Grylls and was also member of the Auckland Chamber Choir - formerly known as University Singers. Bonaventure was awarded the Iosefa Enari Scholarship Award for the support and development of Pacific Island Opera Singers in 2004 and was a finalist for the New Zealand Aria competition in 2007-08.  Last year Bonaventure played Tamino in ‘The Magic Flute’, which toured with Class Act Opera. 

In 2009, Bonaventure is touring around New Zealand with both Operatunity and Class Act Opera and will be performing the role of Nemorino with Class Act Opera.
